Astros' Verlander, Cardinals newcomer Goldschmidt secure big deals

Houston and St. Louis took care of some off-field business with star players on Saturday. The Astros agreed to a two-year, $66-milllion contract extension with starter Justin Verlander while the Cardinals finalized a five-year $130-million pact with new first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.
